Certains on connu le jeu, d’autres non. Ce jeu était édité par NCsoft et développé par Carbine Studios (n’existe plus à ce jour). Des fans du jeu on recréé un serveur de test dit Sandbox. Ceci veut dire que l’on peut se connecter et parcourir le contenu en tant que touriste. En effet, tout ce qui est gestion interactions n’est pas en place. On ne pourra donc pas terminer les quêtes ni aller en donjons, raids, champs de bataille, etc.
Il est donc possible, pour les plus nostalgiques d’entres-nous, de refaire un saut sur le jeu et de voir à quoi il ressemblait lors de sa dernière mouture.
Comment faire?
- Il te faudra télécharger et installer le jeu (sans le lancer)
- Créer un compte sur le site http://ws-test.kirmm.in/
- Télécharger le Launcher du jeu
- Lancer la Launcher et le faire pointer vers le Dossier Wildstar suivant : Client64/Wildstar64.exe
- Choisir “Kirmmin’s Test Server”, laisser la langue en English (sans quoi il y aura une erreur de lancment)
- Cliquer sur “Launch Wildstar”
- Se connecter et jouer avec les identifiants créés sur le site ws-test-kirmm.in
Commandes utiles
Le serveur en question est un serveur de tests, et peut donc comporter pas mal de bugs ou être réinitialiser sans avis. Il est donc important aussi de connaitre quelques commandes afin de pouvoir s’amuser sans avoir à refaire toutes les quêtes ou devoir faire le contenu pour débloquer des cosmétiques et autres.
Voici une liste des commandes qui peuvent te sauver la vie, ou pas loin (en anglais pour l’instant):
Basic In-Game Commands
The following is a list of “default” commands that should be available on all servers built off Nexus Forever code. Different servers may have some commands that are unique to them.
Commands are listed in bold. Associated subcommands are listed in italic.
- !help – Brings up a list (with brief descriptions) of all commands available to you on the server.
- !account – Brings up a list of commands available for account management.
- create [email] [password] – Creates a new account with the specified email/username and password.
- delete [email] – Deletes and existing account with the specified email/username.
- !achievement – Locked command, only available to higher tier member roles.
- !broadcast – Locked command, only available to higher tier member roles.
- !character – Brings up a list of commands available for character progression.
- addxp [amount] – Adds the specified amount of experience points to your character.
- level [value] – Boosts your character to the specified level.
- !currency – Brings up a list of commands that allow you to grant yourself various in-game currencies.
- add [Currency ID] [amount] – Adds a specified amount of the indicated currency to your character.
- list – Lists available types of currency along with their IDs.
- !disable – Locked command, only available to higher tier member roles.
- !door – A command that allows you to manipulate in-world doors.
- open – Opens all doors within a 10m range.
- close – Closes all doors within a 10m range.
- !entitlement – Brings up a list of commands that allows you to grant account and character entitlements.
- account [Entitlement ID] [amount] – Grants the specified amount of a particular account entitlement.
- character [Entitlement ID] [amount] – Grants the specified amount of a particular character entitlement.
- list – Lists all entitlements currently applied to your account and character.
- !generic – A command used for specific account unlocks.
- unlock [genericUnlockEntryId] – Generates a single unlock according to its ID.
- unlockall – Unlocks all entries for that type. (NOTE: The only one available currently is !generic unlockall 1, which unlocks all dyes for the holodwardrobe).
- list – Generates a list of all individual entries with ID number (all dyes).
- !go – Teleports you to a location according to zone name (example: !go thayd).
- !house – Handles all subcommands related to housing.
- teleport – Teleports you to your personal skyplot.
- teleport [name] – Teleports you to the skyplot of the specified character name.
- decoradd [decorID] [quantity] – Adds decor directly to your crate (quantity is optional).
- decorlookup [name] – Returns a list of decor IDs that match the supplied term (example: !house decorlookup lamp).
TIP: The Katia Builder Toolkit addon has a ‘decor shopper’ function that is a convenient way to look up decor ID. Note that decor ID is different from item ID. An item you can put in your bag will have a different ID from the item that appears in your crate!
- !item – Handles all subcommands related to in-game items.
- add [itemid] [quantity] – Adds a specific item in a specific quantity to your inventory.
- find [Item Name] – Search for an item by name or keyword.
TIP: The Galaxy Library addon is a helpful way to look up item IDs while in-game. The jabbithole website is also a good online source.
!loc or !location – Returns your current coordinates. Useful for bug reports.
!movement – Brings up a series of commands that modify NPC movement.
!path – Handles all subcommands related to player paths (Soldier, Settler, Scientist, Explorer).
activate [pathID] – Activates the specified path. You must do this before unlocking a path.
unlock [pathID] – Unlocks the path and adds it to the current character.
addxp [XP] – Adds the specified amount of XP for the player’s active path.
TIP: The pathIDs are as follows: Soldier - 0, Settler - 1, Scientist - 2, Explorer - 3
TIP: You won’t see any rewards/abilities for your path until you add XP. The total XP required to max out a path is approximately 50,000.
- !pet – Handles all subcommands related to cosmetic pets. unlockflair [petFlairid] – Unlocks a specific pet flair.
- !quest – Brings up a list of commands that allow you to manipulate in-game quests.
- add [Quest ID] – Grants the specified quest to your character.
- achieve [Quest ID] – Completes all objectives for the specified quest.
- achieveobjective [Quest ID] [Objective ID] – Completes a single objective for the specified quest.
- !realm – Locked command, only available to higher tier member roles.
- !save – Locked command, only available to higher tier member roles.
- !spell – Brings up a list of commands to manipulate spells.
- !teleport [zoneID] [Xcoord] [Ycoord] [Zcoord] – Teleports you to a specific location based on coordinates. (You can find a list of coordinates here.)
- !title – Handles all subcommands related to cosmetic player titles.
- !add [titleId] – Add a specific title to a character based on title ID.
- revoke [titleId] – Revoke a specific title from a character based on title ID.
- all – Add all titles to a character.
- none – Remove all titles from a character.
Mot de fin
Il est dommage de voir que NCsoft ait préféré fermé le jeu plutôt que de le booster dans le développement en lui offrant les moyens nécessaires pour ce faire, mais gardons le sourire!
Il est possible, grâce aux fans, de rejouer au jeu, bien que cela ne soit pas dans des conditions optimales. Les serveurs étants aux US, il faudra donc faire avec une certaine latence.
On peut remercier le projet NEXUS FOREVER de mettre à disposition cette solution et espérer qu’un jour, qui sait, le jeu renaisse de ses cendres pour de bon.
